Hey guys Went wheeling the other day so thought I'd check my fluid's and what not in the morning.
Checked the radiator, topped it up with some coolant while the car was running and I left the cover off to bleed any air pockets out. Went and filled up and when i pulled at my mates house, I noticed the idle was a bit rough, but it was 'ok'.
Anyway went wheeling, and on the way home the road was bloody dusty. I also ran out of fuel by the time I got home (just as i pulled in to the driveway!)..but used the jerry to get to the servo.... Went for a drive the next day and put in some fuel, the car wouldn't idle on its own, I had to rev it to keep it running in the drive way or it it would shudder and turn off.
It's never done this before, when its warm it wont turn off but the idle is rough when i stop.
I'm thinking a few things
1 - Air pockets in the radiator 2 - Bad Fuel 3 - Lots of dust in my snorkel, blocking the air filter and maybe the AFM
Ill try the air filter and AFM to start, but is there anything else i can look for. Any help appreciated. Cheers
Was it a metal jerry can? They can get rust and crap in them, especially older ones. I filter mine before use. I use a syphon, with a fuel filter innline.
