Hello ladies and Gentle Beans!

Once again after going out this weekend i have destroyed ANOTHER draglink!!! :-) this one folded pretty easy, and also took out the Idler arm / mount too!!! i have a wicked video of it too that im trying desperately to get onto youtube!

So the Problem - Weak Draglink and well renowned weak idler arm/ mount

The Solution - Thicker Stoof!

First of all, does anyone rate the idler arm off LowRange? it looks pretty beefy!
Featured here - http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... r-arm.html

secondly! - Want to upgrade the tierods and draglink! was looking at that Taper Reamer on LROR and upgrading to the 80 Series Balljoints with 1" Tube.

What are everyones thoughts / opinions on this! i'll post up some pics tomorrow night of the fun / damage :)

I'm running the beefier idler arm fro Sky.
It also uses a self greasing bush,
steering is much smoother.
I very happy with it
Only complaint was,
I had to run a metric drill thru the holes, as they were imperal half inch

Know nothing of drag link upgrades,
mines protected by the sump skid pan.
I don't see a need to upgrade the rest, but definately the idler arm.

Hey guys thanks for that ill order the new arm shortly.

As for the draglink. Went to do a little rock step up, as soon as the wheel went up to the rock it folded both the arm and the link hence the upgrade on both. Was perhaps planning tierods too

Keep us posted on what you plan to do stocker - I should pre-emptively upgrade at least the idler arm, so if you order one from LROR or similar give me a yell and we might be able to split shipping.

should a thread with more pics from where those came from... i braced mine & never had a problem, but i did flog the bush out in the stock arm.

this thread reminded me i need to do something about the idler arm & being locked in the front puts more stress on it. this time round i'll be going for the sky manufacturing arm from low range.

i'd maybe look at getting a stock drag link sleeved, tie rods have a funny bend in them i think you'll have trouble finding a replacement from another car... tie rod ends would be easily upgraded.
