I'm just looking at buying one myself. Being 125kg's, I've found that not all kayaks are created equal, and it has restricted my options. just something to consider when buying a used yak.

I've got one in Newcastle, come for a road trip!

Seriously though, I'm a shortass and 60kg. I fish out of a viking tempo fisherman.
My mate who is 6'3" and well over a ton (120kg ish?) fishes out of my yak all the time and reckon's it fits him perfectly. Surprised me, but might be worth a test paddle in that model for you oversized bastards.

Yeah I have one already, I have a Malibu Mini X that I fish from, they are an awesome little fishing Kayaks for what I do, very short yet very stable and they are rated to a max weight of 150KG. What I am after is another cheap kayak so that mates can tag along, I am always being asked by friends if they can come.

This is my Kayak:

There are heaps or brands and models. You first have to decide what you are using it for, the if you you want a "sik" sit in kayak or "sok" sit on kayak both have pro's and con's. Then length, width, hull lay out, hull storage, payload etc. I have tried a few and researched well before I bought my Malibu Mini X, I wanted it small, light, stable, specific for fishing. It is not fast and at 9'6" it doesnt track as well as a 12 - 14 footer but I love it
