All help is appreciated and yes i do kinda regret getting one shoulda went for the leafys. But still love my car could you also give me the sites or names to get the parts and let me know how much it will be setting me back, please cheers guys

"What if" you sourced a sierra front end and got your coily mounts chopped off your front diff and welded on the WT one( I think the coilys got a funny front end).
While people knock them I think its the limited production run thats the killer for aftermarket parts... anything else in a later model coil version over an older leaf sprung one is far more desireable

Panam, how bad the coily is all depends on what you want to do.
Drop in a 1.0 switch case and 30's will be OK. 31's might want some reduction gears (beyond a 1.0 switch case) but it depends on the terrain you drive.
The front end should be fine at a 30. With an aggressive 31 you might struggle, but again, that depends a bit on your use.
Any 1.6 engine conversion stuff will be the same for the coil car as a 1.3 leaf car, with the added bonus that you already have a fuel tank ready to accept an EFI pump.
There's no reason to buy a snake racing body lift, the same parts fit as a leaf sierra, so you can buy a kit from Just Cruizin (if you are in QLD/NSW) or Fatzook if you are in Vic or want an alloy body lift.
I'd stay away from chasing suspension lift in a coiler. The whole suspension design doesn't really respond to lift very well.
Just my 2C. If you're not chasing extreme offroad performance the coil car is fine, it's just important to recognise when you've reached the wall of coil modifications and either move to a leaf car or cut all the bad parts out and start from (almost) scratch. This might never be an issue for you though, depending on your use.
I don't really believe that swapping to a WT front end is really feasible. Sure it allows fitting a front locker and Cro-mo axles, but it doesn't do anything to fix the terrible front suspension design.
Steve.

I agree FZ, but that's a pretty major/expensive/fabrication heavy job for someone who has just got their P's. It shouldn't be necessary if Panam is happy to stay at a 30" tyre and doesn't intend to tackle very difficult terrain. (and also doesn't want much lift) Steve.
