Not to be all serious, but jimny's have the same (internal/mechanical) rear diff as a Sierra so hold up much the same, and the front diff is all LJ. 7.5" center, HP, 1L CVs. So the center is strong enough itself, but the CVs are your big let down. If you can put bigger CVs in and a Sierra tcase for gearing it would be pretty reasonable to assume it could be done fairly reliably. Of course with the addition of full floater rear, and a stronger tie rod it would be unstoppable! I like the idea and am keen to see someone (if not myself) do it in the near future.

how are you running 33s on your jimny i have 2" lift guard chop and 31s and they rub under full flex what did you do to make it work?

33s on a jimny are great. if you live in south west vic like i do then 31s dont get you to far in our ruts. Ive had 33s on mine for 2 years with sierra transfer. havent broken much considering. It depends ALOT on the driver
I know ill prob get flamed as its what everyone like to do! But if your doing it for the 'look' then go buy a skyline or something from the ricer community...
