hi there,

I owned the current shape Grand Vitara Wagon. The vehicle comes std with 225/70/16 tyres and also provides a hard wheel cover for the spare. I was wondering if there any members who have fitted the larger 235/70/16 tires and will a tire in this new size fit into the hard wheel cover?

My dad geepee on this site has the new model shape GV and he has 225/70R16 ATR tyre and the spare wheel tyre cover does not fit because of the offset of the mags -25.
He tryed the 235/70R16 ATR tyre but it rubs at the front when turning.

Is this due to the wider tire width or height?

it is because of the height of the tyre
