Hi guys...the time has come for the big girl to go. I dont need two 4wd's as I'm barely ever home to be able to enjoy them so its time my beloved 80 series goes to someone who can get more use out of it.
The car will come with no rego or rwc due to the current mods, however I will be supplying a lot of the old gear such as suspension & tyres to allow the buyer to source their own rwc if they wish.
I am also interested in swapping for an ss ute if anyone is looking to get rid of one.
The specs are:
- 1992 factory turbo diesel 1hd-t auto. The engine has done 330,000km, however was rebuilt 45,000km ago with receipts. Has been serviced every 5,000km since rebuild. - 2 inch body lift - 7 inch superior engineering spring lift with all the good gear: adjustable panhards, dropped radius arms, tough dog hd steering dampner, extended brake lines, adjustable hd upper & lower control arms etc etc..no money spared! - 38x15.5x15 all terrain tyres with 90% tread - currently wearing a set of 15x10 alloys, but I will be keeping them & supplying a set of 15x10 black sunraysia's for the sale - front & rear diffs have been overhauled with 4.88 ring & pinion gears along with new seals etc - solid spacer in the front diff - arb air locker in the rear diff - diff breathers front & rear - part time kit - custom rear bar with swing away tyre carrier - rear work light - rear drawers - dual battery system with fridge plug in rear - LED strip lights in rear - UHF - 12 inch sub with amp - turbo timer - snorkel
The car will also come with a bunch of spares which include:
- 2 inch spring lift - brand new set of 30mm coil spacers - rear lokka diff lock in diff centre - a set of 35x12.5x15 mud tyres at 50% tread - set of 15x8 inch aftermarket rims - original diff gears & full time 4wd kit etc - I'm sure there will be more spares I come across when I clean out the shed.
The bad:
- starting to get some rust in the bottom of the front doors. Not overly bad yet, but will require some attention soon. - the bottom half of the rear tailgate copped a broken snap strap about 5 years ago leaving it with a large dent. I bogged it up & painted over it but never bothered to get it professionally fixed. The 38 inch tyre that now hangs off the back pretty much covers it up these days. - engine has slight oil leak which I have been meaning to address but just havnt had the time - alternator housing is cracked leaving it with a tinny sort of rattle at idle. Again I've been meaning to address it but havnt had time. Has not caused me any problmes though.
That's about all I can think of right now. If I remember anything else I will add it.
This 4wd has served me exceptionally well over the years and has always been well maintained & washed after every trip. Its taken me to some great places, sometimes towing my zook, but unfortunately due to lack of use in the past 12 months its not getting used for what I intended so it should go to someone else who can enjoy it!
Price:
$21,500 ono with 38 inch tyres & 35 inch tyres $20,000 ono with only the 35 inch tyres
I will be home from work in mid march when you can view it on the sunshine coast. I have limited internet access while out at work but I will endevour to put some pics up for everyone to view.
Any more info PM me or give us a ring 0409 502 379. Cheers, Joel.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this in person in the Fairfield area. It's a monster. How on earth you haven't been defected yet?

I'd be keen, but I would get defected within a week and have to spend another 5 grand+ getting it back to legal.... think you may have over-capitalised a touch here.

Exactly.. read the entire ad guys. It comes with most of the gear to get a rwc so it won't cost you any more than the purchase price.. Then you can do as you please with it.. gotta love options!

She is well over 6ft tall though... still needs a ladder to get in. That is one massive cruiser. I'd love it just for the look on the face of the mate who owns one with a 2" spring lift and 31s. GLWS.

Cheers bud... No, she's nowhere near 6ft! it dwarfs most cars on the road hey..but as I said, it will come wit most of the gear for a rwc. U can then choose to keep it on a 2 inch lift, or put it back to how it is.. As it stands, it gets more attention than the chick...a shitload more!! It rarely gets driven so it hasn't done many kms etc..its good to go!
