hi guys enginer wans me to do a collapsable collum on my sierra before he will pass it

just wanting to no if colly or jimnys had a collapsable collum it might be a bit eaiser than using a hilux one as i was planing

maybee even vit

sierras from 87 or 88ish all had a collapsable shaft between column and steering box, given they are full chassis the firewall is unlikely to push up into your chest

Mine is an 89 and doesn't have a collapsible column.
Mate around the corner has an 89 too and his isn't either..
I think the collapsibles started post 90. Maybe later.

while we are on the collapsible column thing.My 89 doesn't have one either but i am chasing one for my power steer setup.Any ideas on best place to grab one,or im just going to machine mine down and re cut the spline
