I have a new reverse light switch and am yet to try to replace it in my vitara.
I have searched the internet but no luck.

Was just wondering where it is on a swb 92 vitara. Is it easy enough for me, someone with basic skills to replace it?

Yeah mate just did mine on my 96 sierra was a piece off piss just locate the switch ontop of the gearbox and follow the wiring until you come across a plug- unplug it, then get your trusting shifter and spin the switch off.

Thanks for all your help. I have just been able to replace it AND they now work according to someone passing by. Still going to test it once it gets a bit darker.

What are the other switches on the gearbox?? I've just swapped mine over and found the gearbox I put it has an extra switch where on my old gearbox it was just plugged up. I'll find a pix in the morning.

Other wiring is the '4WD' and 'LO' lights from the transfer.

No other switches on gearbox, just detent balls and springs under screw plugs.

Bucket and Burls, are you asking about a Sierra gearbox? Gceozeh and DarkHorse are talking about Vitara.

If it is Sierra you're interested in, see this thread:
