Hey guys,
I'm about to do some tinting and i wanted to remove the windows to make it a bit easier.
Are there any handy hints they you guys might know in the removal of the winding windows??
I have never removed side windows before.

Remove screw retaining pull handle. Curse because the screw is rusted and the philips you used was wrong size, and you damaged the screw head.
Remove inside panel.
Remove wheather strip/s from top of door. Lift up to release.
Tape upper edges with masking tape, to help stop scratching window and tint. and paint
Remove single screw holding weatherstrip to permit a short piece of the channel to rotate out of the way. Screw is near lock mechanism. (?)
Undo 2 screws that retain window in regulator.
You may want/need to wind regulator up/down for clearance. so have the handle available.
Window should exit up and outwards from frame. (the outer side of frame)You may need to rotate window.

As an ex window tint'er for 18 months I can tell you do NOT take the window out and tint to the edge as the channel will just start the tint lifting at the edge. Do it in place and trim the film just a tad short of the frame.

I suppose you could still take the window out to make tinting easier (if that actually does make tinting easier?) and still trim the film as Tony mentions... Personally I would just leave the windows where they are...

Personaly i would take them out as it's alot easier

Yep....learnt that the hard way hahaha

Also, beacsue you'll never get a perfect cut on the top of the window, leave a few milimeters and get a small 'fine' file for the edges of the window/tint when it's semi dry....just make sure you do it on a 45* angle
