Hey I have 4 driving lights on my sierra stock elec system...

I am running 1 relay currently

As I'm off road with the rpms low it appears I am drawing all my power and my radio and elects trip.( turn off and back on).

Is this because I'm am idiot for running 1 relay?
Or can't the stock system handle?

I'm not to cluey with electronics so if you could reply at a kindergarten grade that would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank jake!!

im assuming halogen globes, so 400w (33amp) total, which would be pushing it with the relay, but certainly pushing the alternators ability. With head lights as well ignoring the stereo and anything else electrical thats around 43amp of draw, it's no wonder it's struggling. Looking at converting to hid or led if you're not running either at this stage, along with alternator upgrade which is done to death (along with upgraded headlight looms from the boss man as well(

Awesome thanks for the quick reply!! 2 larger one ad 2 smaller rectangular lights don't know if that helps... I will try get a photo for you guys..

This maybe a stupid question but how would I wire a second relay?
Separate? Or using same wires?

Second relay is easy. You can just split the trigger wire (from headlight) to run both relays. Run another power from the battery and then run two lights off each relay.

This won't fix your issue tho. You need to upgrade to a bigger alternator or use less lights/stereo

To prove that overloading is the problem disconnect two of the lights and see if the problem goes away.
