Reason for selling: to cut a long story short I was certain, due to a under car issue that my transfer had stretched the chain. I put a replacement in and the problem remains as something else that I'm still trying to determine.
Cost: $400
Will consider assistance with postage.
Pm me. Cheers.

SO is the chain slipping? Did you replace the chain or the entire transfer case?
Which one are you selling? Original or replacement - Is it new or second hand?

Which one are you selling? Original or replacement - Is it new or second hand? No the chain isn't slipping. The transfer case for sale is the original electronic out of my 06. I put a complete newer model in and I ain't changing it back. I still have the problem which looks like auto shaft now as the problem is a rattly vibration on power and is still doing it even with the newly installed case. If I was selling the newer one I'll be asking more than $400 as its out of an 12 model with 8000kms.

I had the rear tail shaft CV start skipping on me a while back. Turns out it there was a dent in each mid section of the birfield and the balls just came addrift.
I reckon by installing a shaft spacer, that would change the running position of the balls. Maybe you have just lost one ball.

The electronic jimnys change the low ratio exactly the same amount as the high ratio. M/T high 1:1 low 2:1 A/T high 1.27:1 low 2.54:1 On 215's your revs will be well over 4,000 at 10k's. Do some calcs here... http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.htmlI have the gearbox ratios if you don't.

I reckon by installing a shaft spacer, that would change the running position of the balls. Maybe you have just lost one ball. Finally got it sorted today. Turned out it was the auto shaft uni as it comes out of the gearbox. It had collapsed and seized in one plane. Was hard to see and assess as it was behind the mount. I didn't pull the shaft right out and assess when I changed the transfer. The symptoms were of everything described by people with transfer chain problems. Problem is I'm stuck with the transfer I bought hence the sale of my old one.
