Gday Folks, Did some work on Dads Vitara (G16B) yesterday, and I noticed that the airfilter did not really fit the box, like it was wide enuf, but not long enuf.

The local mechanic looks after it for him if I'm not there, so he installed it, but Id say he just ordered a vitara airfilter, so how many different types are there.

I know well it was the wrong one, had let unfiltered air thru, and there was shit up against the MAF

Its just a stock looking one, didn't see any name on it, so no idea of brand.

There's two different g16B filters. Christover has the tech on this.

Thanks Steve, really glad I found it, tho he is 80 he still loves goin out 4wd, an an ill fitting air filter is a disaster waiting to happen.
