I want to either get a weber/Holley carby or tune the standard carby on vitara. Which will be the best way to go, which will be better for hills, better for power. Not worried about fuel just want to get a bit of power, and the motor will have slight head work. Thanks for any feedback

Standard carb cannot be matched to the weber in flow, therefore it cannot outperform the weber in power. You can certainly improve the weber on angles by modifying the float bowl vents but due to the inherent design of it you will always get fueling issues on large angles.

There should be a few weber threads on here already

Sidedarfts? - draughts? - you know what I mean. Then its only the manifold that's the problem or a 38/38 if gas / outlay isn't a worry. you can get some high comp pistions cheap enough if its the early 1300
