I have the updated interior in my 03 gv. The spot where the foglight switch and the weird waste of space next to it to the right of the steering wheel ,is where i want to put some rocker swithces. I have just pulled out the section and with some grinding and shaping i can only fit one.
Doe's anyone know the sizes of the ARB panels? Ideally I would like to have 4, I have a led light bar switch and a spotight switch, and momentary winch in out rocker.
I might have to get a piece of plain black plastic and glue it in position and cut out the holes?

Hmmm just searching, seems most are 3 wide. For front locker, rear locker and compressor.

You can get them in pairs, possibly just go 2 lots one above the other (after you've made your filler panel)? Reckon you are going to have to butcher the dash a fair bit to get 4 in there still though.

The earlier dash design has a stupid layout there also, a whole heap of switch blanks which are too small/deep to be used for anything. Might have to do something similar to what you are doing.

Another option.... use this and just put your 3 way winch switch in another spot instead?

Or if you wanted to be really tricky - use the 4 switch version (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-Gang-Alumi ... 372wt_1210) but replace the rocker switches in it with the ones you've already got (assuming they are the same size)?

I really want to utilize that position. I think a trip to u-pull it is in order, go and get a bit of dash to fill it in for the cut outs.

I looked at those, but i would still need something for them to sit in as the opening i am putting them in would be slightly bigger.
I went to u-pinch it yesterday and got a flat bit of dash plastic that will fill the hole and i'll be cutting four holes out of for the switches.

I ended up with some similar colour dash plastic from a wreck at u-pinch it.
And cut it slightly bigger than this hole

Image

Image

Then used the original insert that held the foglight switch and some useless compartment/section to the side as a template.
On the inside of the outer dash there are four locating prongs, i did all six but you only need the side four not the bottom two.
I grooved them out and cut out the switch holes with my knock off dremel.

Image

I will fit a momentary rocker switch for the winch in-out in the bottom slot. I will also get an on/off switch for the winch mounted somewhere else on the dash.
I will also be using some double sided tape to hold it in position and make it a snug fit.
