Hello from sunny Tennant Creek!!

So I've been back in Central Australia for a month or so now and I've forgotten how punishing the 4x4 scene can be on your under carriage. Theres a stupid amount of sharp rocks and I'm starting to get worried that my standard alloy diff housing is gonna get smashed and leave me limping home.

Btw it's a 93 swb vit.

So the question's are, Which one am I after, how much would I expect to pay, who has one up for grabs or know where I can get one mailed from and also how hard is it to install? I've only got basic hand tools.

you'd have to be doing something epically retarded to impact damage the front diff, it's going to be from a lifted wheel that's been spinning suddenly finding traction...

search for GV steel diff & posts by me, plenty of info on this topic floating around, will bolt in with basic hand tools, but you'll need someone to swap the diff ratio's over to the vitara's 5.12:1's

?

Damn I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff.

Ok so the diff housing is pretty robust from the impact?
