Looking for old army flashlights, working or not. that take the bulky D or C cells. (also any retro metal ones) for some projects.

With LED torchers being the thing now days they probably lay forgottten in sheds/garages etc

Probably still available at army surplus shops, I bought two about 3 years ago, new old stock, still in thier boxes for iirc $5 each.
even had the coloured filters and spare bulbs inside the battery cap.[mine take 2 x D cells.]

yeah going to be looking around next time i go to the city for $5 i'd get a few
the local disposal stores are ridculously overpriced for common items so i stopped looking there for such things

the main one is making a timing light, still mulling over additional functions, looked at the local store $14.95 for a digicam copy by koookaburra. Need something more retro really or yellow.

In my way LED flashlight is more preferable cause it's more powerful than the old flashlight.
