Hey guys,

I have installed many body lifts in patrols but today was my first sierra.
The design with the permanent bolts make it more interesting.
The body shifted on me and made for a very interesting day trying to get everything to line up again.

Has anyone had issues with this before.
I had to undo the steering shaft to be able to shift the body enough for it to line up.

yeah mate, its very common for them to move around.....if i had been fixed to a rigid frame for 20 years i would want to stretch myself to.....
Yes you have to undo the steering shaft, have you finished it? or finishing tomorrow?

Yep, happens a lot.

Nothing a ratchet strap couldn't fix for me, but that's a Vit. Didn't have to touch the steering shaft.

Got the kit from low range.
Ended up having to use my mates Mazda to help pull the body along a bit.
That's after undoing the steering shaft all together

What did the instructions say??

The steering does pull the body forward and this should be done prior to the lift. Did you lift it front to back or side to side?

Are low range supplying solid blocks or still the honeycomb cell style blocks

Side to side and their blocks are solid.

Have done plenty of patrols but this was my first sierra.
Instructions suggested side to side.
