Hey Guys,
Found a really clean 1997 4x4 X-90 with 120k on the clock and no problems and still has 6 months rego from a friend. He wasn't to keen on selling it so what is it worth? im hoping to make him a good offer.
And are they the same chassi as a vitara? so same diffs, Gearbox/transfer ?
Thanks!!

they're widely considered the vitara's inbred cousin, and as such can sell quite cheap...
IMO they look pretty sweet once you get a bit of lift and some big rubber under them =)

Do it.
As for the main question, chassis and running gear are identicle to SWB vitara of the same year.

is it easy to put a 2.5/2.7 vit v6 in one? SAS on Yota diffs... Is it easy to put a 2.5/2.7 vit v6 in a SWB Vitara? That'd be your answer I reckon.

atari4x4 wrote: Yep. Not sure if there is another way to do it, but there were some heavy bonnet mods required for just the H20 motor. IMO a J20 would be far easier with almost identicle output. Still, a 2.7 X-90 might be ok
