just need to know if this is just my car, or if every other vit is the same.

I have air con in my current lwb (1991) but when I stop, the air gets warm to a point if i'm stopped long enough, its not cold.

does the vit need to be moving for the air to be cold?
can I get the system working so I stays relatively cold when not moving much or fast?
can I get it to work like Toyota air cons?

I also noticed that there are a couple of different air con set ups in earlier vitaras. are these genuine and aftermarket?

the thermo fan is also cactus, so I spent all arvo pulling it off. should I replace it with an identical unit?
or can I replace it with a larger diameter fan?

i'd like to get the air con to work reasonably well when going slow or stationary. any help is greatly appreciated.

You identified your own problem
replace the fan and you ac will work fine, a more efficient fan may be desirable but i dont think it would be necessary unless you use the thermo fan in sand etc
