What's the go with jimny suspension, are there any decent kits available? Would like to fit 30x9.5 tyres with minimal cutting.
Things I would like are
New radius arms so I can use stock bushes rather then caster bushes
Would prefer to get everything ie brake lines, shock relocation etc in one transaction
Needs to be able to handle a heavy car ie winch bar with winch, rear bumper, lots of crap in the back and 40kg hitch weight.
Can spend up to $2k for a comprehensive kit

Any ideas

Hit rob up at Offroad Armoury. The 4" lift is unreal!!! Ask him about dome stiffer springs for the rear or consider air bags for towing your boat though.

I'm going to hit Bruce up for some of his bushes soon as I've been through 2 sets of bushes in less than 6 months and I haven't really driven it too much.

Second ORA never been in a car with them but they seem to be the right prices

JB have good prices on all the intermediate shit like panhards, brake lines, bushes, arms etc. but they only go up to 75mm. dunno if thats high enough for what you want to do.

The ora 4" is what I am thinking, is anyone here running the kit? I should be able to get it approved. Would prefer to stay away from airbags as they seem to fail fairly often when inside a coil and used in the bush.

Yeah I'm running it in mine.... Only reason for the airbags or stiffer springs, is I towed 31zooks trailer for him for a bit on Monday. Albeit he had it loaded up (probs about the same as your boat and trailer from what I last seen in pics), but the rear was hitting the bump stops at times and that was on the highway.... I can't imagine what it'd be like up your way lol.

I'm running 4" + 30s, if you extend the bump stops you'll probably avoid chopping. If you want unbreakable arms I'd say that the ORA arms are built tougher. I reckon the ORA panhards are probably beefier too.
I'm running 80mm tough dog coils and 20mm coil spacers.

I Doubt anyone has ever busted a JB one, or an ORA one for that matter... so I rekon its down to personal preference more than anything.


Maybe consider putting drop steering arm in too if your going 4" shep?

LOL They both look stronger than stock and nobody has busted either but the ORA arms are plated full length, gotta be stronger. JB have better clearance underneath.

As far as I'm aware it's much a muchness with height from ORA. tim's 80mm lift kit works well, the shocks are softish and make for a very comfortable ride. We installed everything from radius arms to new brakelines. The only part that let's it down is the bushes don't last very well. So maybe If Bruce was keen you could get some better quality ones made up.

If I didn't link my car I would install the ORA kit.

You would have to relocate the panhard (New mount at chassis end) other wise you would get huge bump steer as the panhard rod angle has to match the drag link angle.
