Ive tried searching but cant find any info how to remove a jimny gearbox. Ive got every thing undone, but i cant seem to get the box far enough back past the cross member to Alow the bellhousing to clear the clutch. Does any one know the best way to remove a non vvt jimny gearbox .

yeah i've heard some people need to pull the engine forward a touch with straps or something too! Let us know how you get on, I may need to do my nonvvt soon too!
remember if you have enough access to the breather on the gearbox, chuck a hose on it! this will probably be the only chance you get to put a decent breather on there.

push the gearbox to the rear and remove the clutch. gearbox will then just drop out. refitting is the reverse. I used a mirror and torch to align the splines with the spigot bearing
