2011 jimny auto 26 000km
has only happened twice, but sometimes when i drive threw water, (30cm to 1m)
the engine oil light comes on, the first time was at the 6k mark, and i panicked, shut the engine off and checked the oil, plenty there, so i pulled the rocker cover off and made sure i had oil slishing out when running (yep plenty, have oil pressure)

so figured it wasnt anything major, and started back up and drove off, i figured if it exploded i would be covered under warranty, anywho, after a few minutes the light went out.
well this didnt happen again, and ive done a few water crossings and the wet season etc,
but the other weekend i was doing another crossing and the light came on again, so i did the same procedure as above with the same results,
though now i dont want it to happen again, so i figured it may be a exposed bit of wiring on the oil pressure censor?? if there is such a sensore in an exposed location??
any tips?

Don't Jimny's have a rubber boot over the oil pressure sender like Coily's and EFI Vits?
Even if it does.... water can do weird things to electrics and as long as whatever the fault you have is only while submerged, I wouldnt stress about it.

nah, the first time it happened, the water would have been 30cm at most, and i hit it at walking pace, second time was over the bonnet and scary,
but i have had many medium crossing in between where it hasnt happened so i will have a poke around and see what may be the cause, maybe with the garden hose.
