Hi all,

Noticed a special being advertised on new Jimny with $750 accessories and $500 ARB voucher : http://www.suzuki.com.au/latest-offers/jimny-sierra-true-4x4

The question is, what accessories to get for some light off road work ??

I think it's worth buying things that aren't "accessories" but are really required to travel off road.

Air compressor.
Recovery gear
Fire extinguisher
First aid kit

Accessories can always wait. That stuff can't.

X2 on Steves list but I'd put them in reverse order.

I didn't rank them in order. I think your spot on if you needed to rank them though. I think all this gear should fall within the budget.

Do Suzuki have a first aid kit as an accessory?

I know Toyota have, or at least had them.

Depending on what accessories are available from Suzuki, and if the first aid kit is as good as the toyota one, I would consider it. Definetly better than some crappy carpet floor mats.

Suzuki do a first aid kit, but it is VERY basic. For 750 worth of accessories, I'd get head light covers, and tow bar. Bonnet protector as well, if that concerns you, but buying a second hand bonnet, is cheaper than a second hand or aftermarket headlight if you manage to break one/both.. Rest of the accessories available in aus are pretty piss poor. Check out the uk catalogue.

That's ATM, wait a few years and they'll become ~400 or more, like most cars. Might buy some now while they're cheap :p

Narh they will get cheaper. Vl commo shitbox compleat headlights are $30 each. Jimnys have had a long model run so will have good after market support for quite a while.

Also the jimny headlight price includes a $25 airbag

Hi all I'm new to auzookers and have just purchased a 2013 Jimny new. Got the ARB voucher and and a bit of extra cash to spend about $3000. Could anyone help me out with any mods or accessories they would recommend. I want to give the jimny a lift but am concerned with warranty issues, also I want a bull bar but theirs no arb version available so I was looking at the XRON bar (winch compatible), does anyone know much about it.

This is my current wish list
Bull bar, driving lights, snorkel, winch, UHF, cab rack, tow bar, lift (if it doesn't affect warranty) better tyres.

The way the warranty works is that if you add a lift you won't have a warranty on your suspension or any fault that might be directly associated with the lift. It won't for example affect your engine warranty. If you start modifying the exhaust however, they might claim that could affect the engine. Best to check with your dealer. Don't go overboard with the lift. The snorkel should not affect the warranty at all.

Thanks Mike57, I've sent an email to ARB asking for the specs on the OME lift kit 40mm so I can send it to Suzuki and get the OK for the installation. I just need to get something in writing from Suzuki to keep me safe.

cheers :)

Amazing how they are offering the option of bonus accessories at POS, that could theoretically void your warranty. I'd be clarifying that for sure!
