any way i am trying to remove the rear left axle on my Vit and the blasted thing wont copperate, so i'm seeking the advise of the Gurus.

any help appreciated

flip the drum or disc and put the nuts on a few threads. now you have a booty slide hammer.

Stuey said he had issues removing an axle too off his Vitara. He had to take it to a shop and they applied heat and they also had to replace the bearing.

i had the same problem, the axles fell out of the diff i got the centre from & then mine were superglued in hardcore... i gave in after nearly pulling mine off the jackstands & sent it to the zook shop in the city.

A method i used to get stubborn axles out was a length of chain bolted down tightly to one of the axle studs. Shake the chain hard causing a wave like motion heading towards the axle and after a few trys the axle broke free.

All good. went and got a slide hammer, two gos on the left axle came out easy but the right axle sheesh, that bastard was goin' nowhere, after 6-7 tries and reshaping the tool bit it finaly came out (wooooooo). now time to do the axle seals, bearings and left rear wheel cylinder. 3.5 years or more with out the rear diff oil changed and the oil was still clean
