Its a tender, submit your offer to the email. Just a dollar figure might not be enough to get you across the line, there are a lot of points up there to clarify

I'm really not surprised by this, it was only a matter of time. It'll be interesting to see what changes are in the future

Perhaps the cost could be divided into quarter's and responsibilities shared by different parties.
Personally I think we need to return it to how it was a year ago.

OK a few clarifications, anything asked by anyone will be shared with all people interested, so that things are kept fair and clear How much time you spend on the place is up to you, just to keep it running from a technical perspective takes very little as long as its stable, there have been a few times ive spent a lot of hours fixing something and moving hosts and doing upgrades can take up a weekend with no trouble. You might expect if you want to add things in and make improvements then the sky is the limit How you run the place is up to you to propose, if you want to pay somebody to look after things then state that, we may want to see you've looked into it and have an idea of costs, some hosts may even offer an assistance service I personally am not looking to be committed to anything with the site, IE maintenance work etc, I don't think I am suddenly going to stop visiting though so may consider some kind of role in the place. Us teaching anyone may be bad as we probably aren't doing things correctly to begin with, but some kind of handover period would be advisable If your intention is to turn a profit, say so, but good luck with thinking you'll be rich The way something like this works is its not a test, there isn't really a right answer that means you win, you work out what you'll do (based loosely around the criteria listed above) and we will consider all submissions and then likely come back to you with some questions about things and at the end might say we like everything you've done but we don't think your proposed host is good enough, can you have a look at that. Some people are talking about getting a group together, I think this is great if you can end up with a decent spread of skills that covers everything and has scope for improvement, keep in mind with enough organisation the sky is the limit, there is no reason this place couldn't be a successful multi make 4wd forum or site that pretty much swallows all Suzuki specific websites in the country. This isn't a Trademark Royce has spat the dummy again and is going to turn it off thread, if we think nobody has a decent offer, we keep going and work with it till we do.

Would be keen to see something along these lines with all of the clubs involved in it too - something like an Australian Suzuki Portal. I'd be happy to discuss this aspect with anyone interested.

In this specific case traffic and income is irrelevant. It is the content which has value. I would compare it in it's current form to a non profit organisation, not a money making business venture.

I run a small Stamp collecting forum and it is in a sub-folder and has NO advertising allowed at all and that site says it's worth $21,600.00 so who knows what formulae they use - Like everything else - A website is worth what someone will pay for it I guess.
