Hey guys,

I have a Mini with a Mk1 Gti G13b Motor in.

I am presently installing some after market instrument gauges and am having a night more with some of the wiring. i have every thing working bar the the full beam warning light and the battery warning light.

I cannot find the pick up for the battery warning light and i have found the switched live for the full beam off of the combination switch.
However the light come on backward, I,e lights up when on dipped headlights and goes out on full beam.

Please Help!!!!

The wiring issues you have are Mini-related and have nothing to do with the GTi conversion. The headlight wiring should be described somewhere in a Mini manual.

The Charge warning light could be wired two ways depending on the age of the Mini and wether it was fitted originally with a Generator or Alternator. If it was Alternator, the wiring should be exactly the saem as with the GTi's Alternator.

I'd recommend asking the questions on a Mini forum.

blue and red is High beam, its positive switched so earthed so earth the other side of the warning light

Charge in a Suzuki loom is white with a red stripe, on a mini (with an alternator and internal reg) is brown yellow

Sounds like you need to join www.ausmini.com
