couldnt agree more u could get 1 done from less from say a backyarder but with less quality and finish for a good quality bar with a nice finish takes time and $1000 minimum is a good price considering ARB sell their crappy bars @ $1200 i know id rather have a custom bar

Exactly! - I looked and looked for an alternative, in the end I got the ARB one and am very pleased I did - The quality and fit is as you expect from a full computerised manufacturing process. .. Powdercoating is excellent too...

For most vehicles, the ARB bar is very good. For the sierra, once you remove the outriggers for 30"+ tyres, the remaining bar mounts are completely inadequate.

Vitaras seem to be well mounted from what I have seen.

ok clearly iv offended people and let my just clarify that arb bars are not exactly crappy as i previously stated but was more inferring that there are better bars out there.
and if i couldn't buy 1 for the Suzuki id rather pay someone $1200 for a 1 off custom bar made exactly to suit my car and my specifications than $1200 for a massed produced multi-fit unit.

EDIT: i have an arb bar on my jeep and it does the job it was on there when i bought it but i would like to upgrade it when funds allow or i might make my own
