has anyone thought of coating the original grill with chrome, or nickel or even painting it? to get the limited edition look,
wondering if this will work?
not even sure if this would look good on a silver sierra.

Ahh... so there was a "limited edition " coily that had a chrome grill from the factory? Is that correct?
I wondered where they came from.
Is it possible to purchase the limited edition grill new as a genuine part? ouch?

yeah there was a limited edition with the bling rims and grill. no you cannot buy the limited edition grill from suzuki as they are just a standard grill with a thin sheet of chrome glued on not actually chromed steel.

as far as i know you can, you would just need a vin number from a special edition one, i am sure they came out in japan with chrome grills as the "Jimny Sierra"
they didn't just bung on some chrome in Australia...
it's just whether suzuki oz can still get them just don't deal through a QLD dealer they use mayfairs and don't deal direct to suzuki japan, use a vin with one that had a chrome one from factory and get them to bakcorder one from japan if still possible.

i honestly don't see what the big deal is about these grills they look alright i guess but they aren't worth how much suzuki want for them after all they are chrome coated plastic, is that what you really want on the front of a 4wd? i do like those coily cross lj grills but i'd probably get on in black

These kind of people could bang a bit of Chrome on your old plastic one I suppose:
http://www.chrometech.com.au/
However the chrome grill in the pic with the vertical bars would be much more impressive?
Anyone speak Japanese? Have some Japanese auto aftermarket contacts?
