Ok it time to get the Budget Vitara Build back on the ground so I need to acquire and fit new Springs and Shocks.

I've been hunting around and looking at all the different options that are available out there on the Forums, InterWeb and EvilBay

As mentioned in my Build Thread this Zook is going to be a daily driver for my P Plater Son. Not going to be a Magnet for the Boys in Blue and Not a MudPlugger. It will mainly be a daily driver and just bush & beach.

So we're just looking at a lift of 30 - 50mm over standard. The Existing Shocks are 100% Stuffed. The springs are pretty sagged especially the front. So Going to Bin the Whole Lot.

I guess what i am looking for is feedback on my short list of options. Factors are Ride, performance, Durability and of course has to look the part.

Short list in no particular order.

1) Ultima Shocks King Springs 30mm Lift ($650 ish) Cheap and 12mth warranty, But Way too much Yellow...

2) Ultima Shocks and Dobinson Springs 50mm Lift ($800 ish). This is towards top of my Short its. Blue Springs and Yellow Shocks will look kool. Dobbies Are awesome springs.

3) Robust Kit 40mm Lift ($900 isn) ... Top of my Looks List... they look great and will match the scheme of the car. Decent warranty but otherwise I don't know much about them. But they do look the part but a tad expensive. But could stretch the budget for them if they're good.

I've also considered mix n match like Dunnydore shocks and coil spacers etc.... I really don't want to go down this road. A P Plater driving will no doubt run up someones arse or hit a tree... dont need the hassles with insurance and they just dont look the part. Thats my Humble Opinion anyway. So this option crossed off the list.

I have considered Full Name Brand Kits Like Calmini, OME, TJM, Irionman, Dobinsons etc. But just cant justify having a suspension kit that cost more that the car itself.

All constructive feedback appreciated and if if left off an obviously good option please let me know.

Thanks in Advance

I'd possibly search up "Sikid's" first vit if I were you, or his second one.

hit up KPD4x4, you should be able to pick up a dobinson kit for about the same money as the no-name crap on ebay.

Good idea with steering away from Dunnydore shocks and spacers. I'm running Kings ATM, they go ok. You're welcome to take mine for drive if you want
