Hey Guys
I am due to drop a G16B into my Sierra on the weekend and I notice one of the mounts is broken so I can either spend 35 bucks or so and get some off ebay or look into the VL engine mount phenomenom.. .fenominim... phenominominim.

is this a direct bolt in replacement or does it require some mods ?
who has done it ? was it quick and easy?
I have to stick to my deadline of getting the engine in on Saturday so if I can't feel confident about how smoothly it will go, then standard crappy after market Sierra mounts it is :(

Thanks

Early Vitara have a similar but more beefy engine mount, which I was told bolted straight in.
But didn't get round to trying one.
They do look similar.
Have not tried the commo one either, sorry.

Think I will talk to Bursons tomorrow and ask if they can get me some OEM ones before the weekend otherwise I will just have to do a temp patch job.
always room in the tool kit for some more spares though I guess if i want to carry some around all the time :D

I'd carry spares, if you stick to stockers, its a common problem.
Buy a cheapy for now, so you have time to research for better.
Low range do an unbreakable mount designed for fitting a 1.6 into a Sierra/Sammy.
I use them in my Vitara, pretty tuff.

ive got vl mounts in mine but thats on a g13a but all you have to do is grind off the locating pin and they go straight in. i only put one on the passenger side as thats the one that breaks more often.

ask for one at bursons they look exactly the same just a little bigger.

could be different for your motor though.
