Eh, i broke both my vac hoses putting in my new coils in the front of the jim. can anyone tell me whats best to replace the hoses with. and maybe 2nd and 3rd best in case there is nothing in town... is there a theoretical maximum ength for these hoses i should be concerned about? also have a pair of free wheel hubs http://www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/d ... d_609.htmlnot inclined to use them till the VVT box explodes hand i have to replace it with a sierra one though... cheers Jeremy

i'd use vacuum hose the same diameter as whats on there, take a sample to your auto parts shop & add some length to the standard length to allow for the increase in ride height & wheel travel. pretty sure you won't be replacing your VVT gearbox with a sierra one, if i remember correctly you'll want a non VVT jimny box.

If you've already got the free wheeling hubs just fit them.... seriously! it only takes a split hose or a stick etc to pull the hose off the hub and you'll be sitting trackside banging you head going over all the hoses trying to find which one. I wish I'd done it sooner!!!! Just remember to link the 2 nipples on both hubs and then join the 2 steel lines coming from the engine bay with a bit of hose, and then enjoy hub trouble free wheeling

i did enjoy 2wd low range for a hit there, but i was thinking of puting a switch on the vacume solanoid so i could manually unlock the hubs while in low range. that will come in handy on boat ramps till i have some sort of reduction
