I want some with more meat and mote aggressive tread pattern. Do you think I can fit 31x10.5 tyres on 15x7 rims or is that too risky ?

Nope that will work fine, i'm pretty sure that's the size rim recommended for a 31 inch tyre :wink:

Oh ok cool. Can you tell me why everyone runs 15 x 8 rims ? Will the tyre fall off the bead on a 15 x 7 rim easier?

Nah no idea but i've ran both 7 & 8's with 31's and had no problems

15x8 have a wider offset. And clear the springs better.

-12ish on 7" rims (31" tyres hit the springs)
-23ish on 8" rims (31" barely take the paint off)

i got -12 on black 15x7 for road and touring and -40 on white (think they are 15x7) that i flog in the bush
