Hey guys I just checked the oil in the back diff off me sierra which has an auto locker in it. I'm unsure of what brand as I didn't install it. I've found a tiny amount of glitter but the alarming part is I've found what seems to be a small broken up spring

glittery oil is the locker bedding in. Dont worry.

spring means the locker needs to be rebuilt.

Thanks. It was new when I bought it does this mean it was installed wrong ?

Not necessarily.

They can fail. I've never had one fail. But others have.
The parts are cheap, but if you can do it yourself, it will cost a bit in labour to fix.
