I'm currently rebuilding my front diff after the spider an side wall gear's dropped a bunch of teeth on me, At this stage i'm seriously leaning toward's the LSD as there is one sitting around brand new for sale at a local diff shop for roughly the same price if not a wee bit more then the air locker's.
Has anyone had experience with the Calimin 10 bolt LSD Carrier ? What are your thought's ?

Has anyone had experience with the Aisan brand (not ARB) RD88 Air locker ? What are your thought's ?

What Are the Pro's an Con's of the two different style locking system's ?

I would prefer a air locker but they take like 6 to 8 weeks shipping from china, an i don't know if i can handle having my truck in bit's on the driveway that long plus miss all the outing's lol, so for now i'm keen too hear anything other's have found whilst using these system's

edit: you will find extremely hard to get hold of an LSD, they are out of production.

alot of places look at normal WT rear diffs and think they are LSDs, ive had the issue before.

Most are not.

in the end even if it is an LSD, its not a locker

grab and airlocker and be done with it

are you 100% sure it's a 26 spline front LSD?

+1 on an air locker & steel diff... a LSD is only ever going to give you limited traction, hence the name limited slip differential.

It defiantly tha calmini LSD 26 spline 10 bolt carrier, the shop selling it has had it for some time bought it in from the State's for a customer which it didnt fit hit 12 bolt front diff apparently, well according to the diff shop trying too sell it ???

I like the idea of a locked diff at the flick of a switch at your finger tips..

i bet my left one it's for a rear diff if it didn't fit his 12 bolt R&P.

the only thing that changes on the fronts are the spline count & on the rears it's the number of bolts on the crown wheel.

Mine's a chinasoong chairman... RD208 should cost you $449USD or $499USD if you want the compressor plus about $160USD Postage, depending on where you are.

So you'll have it landed for about $740AUD. Mine only cost $630 I think because I paid in AUD instead of USD :D Then he said next locker pay USD...

Where did you get that price?

You can get them for far less than that.

I'm just surprised that an ARB store would be so expensive. I guess if their customer service is anything like the ARB I last went to they need to gouge every cent they can to make up for lost sales.

Yes thats right.

I say again. From ARB, the shopfront, where you walk in and theres stuff you can buy, and a guy with a computer, and all the stuff on the walls, cars out in the workshop, ARB signs everywhere... They want $1570.

In case you missed it.. From ARB. ARB.

Not what other country you got yours from. Local ARB store. ARB.

But for anyone that missed it the ARB, let me repeat that the ARB local store is $1570 guys.

If your that confident in it fucking up save yourself $7-800 and buy a chinasoong, at least at half the price you won't be as disappointed in it failing.

Warranty isn't worth that much! (Well not to me anyway)
