thanks mate!
So from reading that thread, I can assume the new hotness in o2 sensors is the NTK one Greg mentions which supposedly plugs right in and is cheap cheap?

How did you deduce that it was the coil pack not the O2 sensor?

It was a fair while ago but I think it was more or less a trial and error thing. The coil packs were the cheaper option so I changed these out first. Fortunately, this rectified the problem. I think the car was "missing' occasionally and hesitating under load when accelerating which lead me to believe there was a missfire in one of the cylinders ----> = coil pack.

It`s only 4 wire`s to change over & thay react quicker to (aftermarket that is)
So any suggestion what the best feul for a j20a??

Its a fuel. Your car will move with it in the tank. But, its like when you have a Redbull and its really good, then next time you get a Sugarfree Redbull and its still a Redbull, but its just not quite right and.you drink half and chuck the rest.
Same thing. Its crap, deal with it.
You seem to be trying to convince yourself to use it because its now available. NO, i am reading every reply... I understand, and good analogy... Nope, just want to make an " Informed " decision... and, if you read my last reply further up, i decided Not to try the E fuels, they are just to iffy, i will stick to Premium 95...

I was waiting for someone to jump on that, even though nearly 2 yrs ago, i did try 98 for a while back then... since then, i have become more informed about the fuel i use, and a big point, the cost of 98 Vs Benefits, just didnt add up, its too expensive now, so i went with the mid range option of 95...

There are a couple of plugs on the firewall, right hand side of engine. Have no idea if they are the monitor coupler though.

maybe they eliminated it on the later ones? FSM shows it being near the washer bottle by the strut top, what side is the washer bottle on the GV's? i'm guessing LHS going by the lack of one in the link above.

Yep, washer bottle is left hand side, between the inner and outer guards.
You would think I would have noticed it while pulling the loom out of the GV, not a good start to the engine conversion.

Talked to an auto elec, his system said it should be in the spot near the airbox (if fitted) maybe mine doesn't have one, is there any way to short the obd 2 plug to get the codes or will I just have to buy a scan tool.
