Will stick with the Hilux/Bundy knuckles with Bundy arms, also because I like the positioning of the steering arm which the draglink attaches to being ontop of the knuckle instead of coming from under like the 80series arm.
I actually want to re-ream the steering arm where the draglink attaches so that the tierod sits on top (like I did on my jimny) instead of underneath and re-position the Panhard mount higher to improve both angles. I did this on my Jimny when I lifted it, I tried to get the front and rear Panhard angles as close to the same as possible, i was stoked with how much better it felt at speed along the beach when done, felt way more predictable.
And as Dan has stated, pretty sure the Hilux/Bundy stuff will be more than adequate for the beach and track work we do but thanks for the info, I didn't realise other knuckles would bolt up to the Hilux/Bundy housings, cheers.

They dont. Which was was part of my "why?". The knuckle balls would have to be cut off and 80 balls fabbed on.
Again, not worth it for your needs.

I agree with what your saying, but regardless of what you do and don't know about toyota running gear and what this forum will tell the unknown, but Hilux front diffs are wider than Bundera rear. I read on here that they are the same. It's a substansial difference. I can take a photo of my Sierra from back on with Bundy rear and Lux front, with identical offset wheels F & R, and you will see it's a huge difference. Given the time again I wouldn't run the combo and especially under a Jimny which will be harder to hide the width increase compared to my flat tray. Both bundy diffs will be a good upgrade for the jimny and a narrower track than a hilux. Simon.

I'm actually shortening both diff's to approx 1378mm HMF to HMF, I did pick up a hilux front ($200) but am still looking for a Bundy one, like you said would just make things easier. Kyzer

If you're shortening them it won't make it much easier? Unless you plan to reuse the mounts on the bundera diff?

A user asked me to update this thread. I brought the setup from Matty, I have had the axle o.d machined down so the gallant brakes will fit onto them. Finished the axle fab, time to get it blasted and painted. any questions pm me or i'll update my build thread and answer questions in pm and on this thread.
