Hi all I have just picked up a new Sierra and its got led blinkers all round, there all working but are blinking fast,
How do I fix this, I have 2 12v resistors at home but not sure where to wire them in. Or am I better to change the blinker unit under the dash.?

IMHO change the blinker unit - quicker and easier than wiring resistors into everywhere.

The resistor gets attached across the light (one side to positive, other to negative) but as Steve suggested probably easier to switch flasher cans over

Yeah sounds like you're using a normal flasher. Get an LED flasher. Will just work.

I bought an led flasher can from an auto elec for $25, they even fitted it for free.

Didn't want to create a new thread, So I'll add to this.

Changed my rear taillights to LED units, blinker is now fast. No worries I thought and ordered a LED flasher can/relay off eBay.

Installed and tested with ignition on but engine off, blink rate is fine. Start engine and blink rate is fast again, WTF? Voltage issue?

Nevermind. Found the one out of my donor baleno and filed a certain little 'hoop' that's inside the can to reduce the flash rate. Maaad.
