Of course, we want to help you molest one of our family members. Just get an axe and hack the back off, then use some papermashe to fill in the back, get some of those cardboard tubes to reinforce it all, you can also make a tray with them and a few flattened out boxes.
If you were to sell your hard top to some one who wants a hard top, then buy a soft top with some rear damage or that is being wrecked, for less money and use the rest of the money for the build so you can do it a little better and be proud of what you've achieved. And we will praise your achievement and lay rose petals at your feet as you pass.
Is that warm and fuzzy enough for you ?

If you have to ask how you should "brace" the cab then a cab chop is not something you should be doing.

My mate has different ideas of how to brace it but the question was does anyone else have any ideas how to brace it.. I'm getting feed back, so with all this negative feedback is there anyone with feedback that has done it

why does it need bracing?
if i was to chop up a tintop, i'd be gluing the rear panels back on to make an extra cab... search the members build threads, quite a few people have chopped a tin top before.

Nah, I thought it started existing when i signed up... Used to read it in school way before I got a zook actually (never made an account till a few years later, a couple of months into zook ownership ) Lets see what that last bloke who did it (and did an awesome job too) had to say, I dare say he actually really knew what he was doing too: bazook wrote: bit of an update i sold the tintop cab as i wasnt happy with how the roof was going i ended up heading down this path did a ruf and also put a gv fuel tank in gu towbar cut dowm to fit in the rails
so i did a cab cut and used a maruti top
Why cut one up when you can buy it already made and awesomer than a cut tintop from suzuki? Pic taken from NBS, a useable utility with a decent sized tray and doesn't look funny, and is not botched/illegal/kustomasfukbro: As opposed to those zuks that Gwagensteve has posted. I'd love a sierra ute with a decent tray and canopy personally. Why not do it right, starting with a real sierra ute?

I was having a chuckle about that today when I re-read that old thread.
However, they are far less common than they were (thankfully). Hilift jacks displayed loud and proud still rank highly. Bonus points if there is nowhere on the car to use them, as do no mudflaps, inadequate tyre coverage, and of course the new must-have tough guy sticker are multiple LED light bars. It's vitally important these aren't from a reputable brand for ultimate tough guy sticker cred though.

Man i hate seeing hi lift jacks. I bury mine deep in the car. I used to use it a lot when i was single locked. Now it only gets used to dangerously shift the car if im bellied out.
