Does Anyone Out the In VIC have a rebuilt 13AB Sierra Engine To Suit an 1987 Engine Or Know anyone who Rebuilds them ????

as i said in another post/PM pretty sure there is no such thing as a J16 in australia & bunging a G16 in requires adaptor plates & other bits he may not want to do.

Daves 4wd Suzu World is $1695 for a change over 1.3 Which is pretty Steep i'm thinking for a stock 1.3ltr

Do you really need a reco??
You could always chase down a 90's barina engine with low km's from a wrecker.
Apart from the sump and carb they are the same engine.
You should easily be able to find one for a couple hundred or maybe even less.
1700 is a little much to me for a g13a. You can buy entire sierras with good engines for less then that.

Holy shit he's bumped up the price a shit load.... Why don't you rebuild your motor??? Plus is you keep you engine number and it's easier

After that Price shock i was contemplating doing it myself but how far should i go.
Piston and rings then do you do Big end bearings, Oil pump, valve guides

Another reason why I dont want to buy a second hand low Km's Engine is buying someones Piece Of shit and having to pull it out again :deadhorse:

Yeah my heart skipped a beat when I read that hahaha... Yeah pretty much I'm getting one done at the moment and it's getting new pistons/rings all bearings and valve stem seals... There's a it in eBay not bad quality but you need to get a water pump and timing kit...

I;ve just replaced the timing belt and tensioner Seals Ect and Water Pump 1,000Km's ago when i bought it.

Did you buy the rebuild kit off ebay ???

Let me know how it goes are you doing it yourself or getting someone Locally????
