I am in the process of bodging up a winch bar for a Tigerz11 6000lb on my Vit. The plan is to mount it feet down, so where should the fairlead be centred? I assume it pulls off the bottom of the drum and so the fairlead should be vertically centred about the level of the bottom of the drum or a touch higher allowing for the cable running out or do you line up with the centre of the drum?

In a perfect world, line it up with where it comes off the winch.
