hey fellas,
okay my problem is that randomly at lights/stoping or going to stop the revs go under to about 500 and it just cuts out. ( this doesnt happen all the time, i might go a trip without this happening and then the next trip i do it cuts out:/ ) and i know i dont stall it the traditionally way.
any ideas on what the problem is?
cheers logan

Logan,

If you have a blocked idle jet like i did myself,

Either two ways to go about it:

One Remove the top of the air cleaner pot off the carby, start the car remove no1 Lead from the spark plug give it a few reevs it will back fire and make sure you wear Earmuffs if your a puss puss.

If that doesnt clear it then take the carby off and pull out the bottom jets and blow out with compressed air should do the trick.

To stop this from happening again replace the fuel filter and i also Put a small filter from the fuel line that runs from the outlet of the fuel pump that supply fuel to the engine to stop small particles that block up the Idle jets $5 from your locally bursons, repco or Autobarn.

Hope this helps Rob.
