G'day ,can anyone tell me how long the spacer should be for steering shaft, it's had a 3" BL and then a previous owner machined these down to 2" but I don't know if they changed the billet steering spacer to compensate. Also I need to replace the lower steering shaft uni if anyone knows where I can source one. Thanks

Bits4Vits does an extension for this, its generally considered required for both 2 and 3 " body lifts

So you've got a 2" body lift in with a spacer already? But you think the space is too long? Does it matter if it's too long if it still works?

Thanks for the replys my main concern is that it is to long now that the body lift has been lowered to 2" it's more of a safety concern than anything, I also thought it may be why the uni below it has failed but after searching the forum I see it's not that unusual for it to fail. thanks again

What size is it currently? Due to the main section being almost horizontal you do get a bit of drop before an extension is required. A 2" lift would need approximately 1" of extension

That's the problem as the original flex joint has been removed and a full billet spacer that's 120 mm long put in to replace it, I will probably buy a full steering shaft from the wreckers and work out what spacer I need from there.

Without the flex joint is probably why to uni is stuffed
