G'day
I have a g16a for sale that also includes the adaptor kit for a sierra,
brand new water pump
and a g13 5 speed gear box ( I was assured it is in good condition by a member on here who I purchased it from)
and brand new clutch to suit.
I had every intention of doing this conversion on my own sierra but have since got a bit sick of it( I now have a d22 navara which suits me a bit better for camping, also I have sierra for sale if anyone is keen?haha)

Condition:
Motor: has been stripped and inspected by my brother( qualified mechanic)
Had new piston rings and gaskets all round, bearings etc were inspected and found to be in good nick
The head has been reconditioned professionally.

Gearbox: was purchased from member "Gomez" who assured me it is in excellent condition.

Still to go:
The motor will require a g13 sump to be fitted as well as a modified pickup, I have the paperwork from the conversion kit which has instructions on how to do this.

Also may require carby rebuild

And will more than likely require a new alternator( or your old sierra one)

Price: I would like to get $800 for the lot but I am a certainly negotiable

Any other questions please ask, I am no expert which is why my brother has done a lot of the work for me and as such I will confirm any questions with him.

Couple of questions.

How many km on the motor prior to rebuild?
Was there anything wrong with the head? ie cracked and welded
Was the carby working?
Is the 1.6 sump still on it?
What does the adaptor kit include?

Thanks

G'day Jas
1, I was told it had around the 200k mark, I bought the motor with the intention of rebuilding it,
2, no cracks in the head, just had it re conditioned as a precaution
3, no idea if the carby was working, I didn't see the motor running
4, I think I still have the 1.6 sump somewhere although not certain without going to have a look
5, adaptor kit includes the bracket for the 1.6 to 1.3 gearbox, engine mount brackets etc and instructions on how to fit into a sierra. The kit is the one that's for sale on this website by benT
Also have a transfer case lift kit that will go with it
Hope that helps
Jesse

Would it be possible to come and have a look at it?

Did you have anyone lined up for a VASS certificate? I've been given some costs in the range of $1500 which seems pricey to me.

Thanks

Sorry for the delay been chasing VASS people to try and see whats involved and potential costs.

Can you confirm that the motors got the complete parts?

If so PM me with location/ preferred time and we can sort out a time to come and have a look, could go tomorrow 17th Nov, or next weekend.

Thanks
