Hey, has anyone tinted a sierras soft top? Does it work and got any tips and tricks to getting it looking nice? I tinted the side two glass windows and they came up very nice so I know how to work with tint, just not sure if it'll stick onto the plastic stuff. Also I'm not 100% sure but am I right that I can tint the rear facing window and rear side windows on the soft top any darkness? I did the front glass windows %35 but maybe I can do the others a bit darker. All info and help in muchly apriciated!

You can buy soft tops with tinted windows.

Yeah but they are so expensive. If tint sticks to it I would love to do it that way!

Spray tint? Same stuff people use on lights
If it looks shit just wipe it off before it dries. Or just do a small test section

Yeah thanks heaps. I actually just ordered two cans of it online! The more coats the darker it gets or something like that. Thanks!

Would it be better to apply it from the inside or outside do you think??

If it was me I would do it on the inside shouldn't get scratched. Make sure it is really clean first or it will look shit. Once again do a test spot to make sure it will work. Make sure you only do very light coats otherwise it will run and look really shit. Once it dries maybe bend it a tad to make sure it will hold when it moves in the wind and when you take the soft top off. Apart from that post a photo when you are done Cheers Aaron

Have a quick read. Main thing is prep I read that just before I posted this! Good info. I'll be cleaning and polishing it for hours before I put any coating on it! Hope the spray coating comes before I get home so I can start it right away! Thanks for you help mate! Thomas.

Dont get polish anywhere near the plastic you want to tint.... or the paint wont stick. I just gave mine a clean and a dusting of matt black paint from soopa cheeep on the inside.... worked good.... couldnt see thru it beforehand anyway

I think when they say polishing they mean with a very high grit wet rub
