If you get the plate it won't mean a thing. The actual blue plate is only half of the compliance process, the other is a piece of paper that goes to the department of transport to be logged with the VIN number on your car. The department of transport had an opening for all past paper work to be delivered regarding the old rules and as of that date old compliances would not be accepted. Cut the front hoops off your cage, get it complied with a 4 point and weld the front back on. Best chance of getting something in writing to say a rollcage was fitted and complianced.

Then there isnt much point getting a mod plate? Since it will be void anyway.

Bingo. Won't stand for anything if you're pulled over by the DOT but if that happens it will probably just be one item on a long list.

The blue plate is dated at the time of issue, and any QLH8 code issued after 30/4/13 will not cover a front cage section. DOT know this, as do the police, so your chances of getting caught are quite good. Run a 4 piont, or don't bother with a blue plate.

There is no reason why you can't get a properly designed 4 point passed.
