Just got rego on the 88 sierra I've been rebuilding for the past 18 months and when I rang for insurance they asked me if it was classed as a "classic".

It may be an icon but I don't think of it as a classic in the way they were thinking.

Classic is generally referred to as a car over 25 years of age.

Arent there limitations toward the titles of Classic / Vintage / Post Vintage etc ? like it being stock standard with original almost everything?

I'd call the LJ's and one litres classics.

WT and 1.3 NTs still seem a bit "modern".
