In fact, I'm 100% sure CJ swapped the same crawler geared transfer from a 1.6 carby manual to a 1.6 EFI auto to a H20 V6 Auto and then to a J20 Auto. I helped with these swaps so I'm almost 100% positive.

This is sounding really good Gwagensteve, would you be able to get a hold of this CJ an see if he got the reduction gears into a V6 vitara transfer case ?

I don't know nothing about the spline counts for the transfer input, but i have been told by a bloke that wrecks suzuki 4wds for a living that the V6 supposedly has a bigger shaft then the 1600 trans..

Nope, fraud I won't be getting hold of him. I believe the case the gears were fitted to was either a 1.6 carby or EFI case. It definitely wasn't the V6 case, but that 1.6 case was swapped all over the shop.

Correct, the V6 manual has a larger spline than everything else.

Vitara cases are free. I've throw out about four. Just get hold of a free 1.6 one and put the gears in that. I do think that there are some changes in transfer output OD's, but I'm not sure if I'm making that up.
