hey guys, ive noticed that when i go for a 4x4 in my 97 jlx vitara my clutch sometimes feels a bit funny and squeeks a far bit. doesnt seem to be slipping tho... then when i get back onto the road, stop and change back to 2wd it sometimes sounds like the front drive shafts are still spinning for a lil bit, like its still in 4wd? so i had a quick look at g/box where clutch hydrolic ram thing is and noticed it felt really sloppy, is that normal? it has plenty of clutch fluid. also when im reversing and turning at the same time i get a kinda howling sound from the front end?

any help would b appreciated,

cheers.

To me it sound like the front is still hubs are still in put it in 2wd on the trasfer and slide under it and see if you can turn the front axles.

If no it is an easy fix

That is easy fix just remove the Free wheeling hubs and you will find that they will be all gummed up or rusted if you have been doing water and mud. Service them and go wheelin.

If beyond service then take a 6 pk and drink them before you get price on replacements.

Not sure where you are but if you have not done them before someone will be able to help you out.

It is not a big job and basic tools are required. If Auto hub look around for some FW Hubs
