So who has them?? Mine is a 99 Grand Vitara. And after a week on frasr, I need further lift!!!!


I have a suzisport 2" lift that has flogged out the top strut mount twice in six months!



Looking at te calmini kit and posibly a 2" body lift if anyone can recomend a supplier???

Well, I have the 3" Calmini kit for my Vit and it's been going strong for a while now.. Copped a fair amount of punishment as well. The only thing which has crapped out is the control arm bushings (rear).

The shocks are a bit rubbish but they're always a personal preference anyway. I bought my kit from Snake Racing..

I have a 3" kit in my Vit, love it.

I had the 2.5" kit in my old 2001 GV V6. With a 1" body lift it ran 255's on the stock rims, (31" ) and it was really good, I took out a 2" tough dog setup but left in the tough dog front struts. CV's lasted better with the diff drop. I would recommend it. I would get it from Cal Offroad in Berridale, but I think Superiour Enginering do them in QLD.

These were prices a mate chased up a couple of months ago for the vitara kit...

FNB-4WD at Mt Barker SA(top blokes ) and can get me a calmini kit for $2400.

Snake Racing want $2350 + delivery

Locktup4x4 (again top people) want $1746 + about $500 in shipping or if i want it soon $1200 airfreight.

Cal Offroad ive given up with 3 emails 3 calls still know answer.

Fraud Wheel Drive USA (4wdUSA) want about $1945 + delivery but that guy couldn't tell me how long it would take to get in stock he just wanted a deposit.

When I tried warranty Claiming, Calmini was dodging all questions because I bought the kit from www.4wd.com and not them direct. www.puresuzuki.com are direct of course, but want you to pay bank deposit - not just Credit Card - which is a joke. Credit card payment is the only reason I went with www.4wd.com for my vit 6" articulation kit. 1059.95 USD when buying direct - the AUD is good at the moment, go direct.

ok i dont do calmini but i can do a 3inch front and 4inch rear lift, Atari should know how it works from his mate buying the white GV with the lift fitted.

and pricing is cheaper too plus im local.

ODA1's kit works well, I still have way more flex in the front of mine with the Calmini kit compared to the front of my mates GV.

The Calmini kits have the lower control arm`s in it don`t thay??
ODA1`s kit`s don`t, but looking at the diff drop bracket`s i`d go for ODA1`s.
That`s what`s going into mine after holiday`s that is, & extractors & bla bla!!

i was thinking this could be due to the sway bar and i was looking at doing spacers or doing a new one but i think that to much could break CVs.

That looks good, wonder what would happen if you opened the door.

I have got a 2" suzisport kit in their at the moment and running 225 75 16 Wranglers. The suzisport kit has caused a few issues in the front end of late, most recently it has blown apart the strut top mounts twice in six months. Now this could be a fault of the vehicle. I am doing a bit of research at the moment to figure out what is going on. But at about $280.00 a throw, I can't aford to keep destroying them (genuine only part from what I can find)

My first thought on this is the struts are topiing out too soon and reachin full extension causing stress on the rubber locating bush in the strut top mount, but the suzisport kit was never supplied with any kind of strut spacers So I assumed it would be fine without them.

Does your kit have spacers ODA1? I think this is where I am running into problems in this area at least. But I also have an issue with the front coils and the way they sit due to the limited travel of the control arms. I will post up a pic if I get a chance later today to show you what I mean.

do you know what the open/closed lengths are compared to a stocker or OME & how long the strut body is?

This is a 100% stock Calmini kit and a 2" body lift with 32s...
